Kenworth Truck Co has earned the ISO 9001:2000 certification for the design, manufacture, and assembly of its heavy- and medium-duty trucks.

The new 2000 revision emphasizes the importance of a process-based approach in achieving customer satisfaction. Under the standard, a company is required to measure and monitor customer satisfaction and continually improve its products and processes. Kenworth was previously certified under the ISO 9001:1994 standard.
