Drivers can check the refrigerated box temperature with a remote wireless transport refrigeration monitoring system. The TRMS-300 can be mounted on the dashboard for easy readout while driving, or can be carried wherever the driver goes. It has a range of up to one-half mile. Up to three temperature zones can be monitored, as well as unit malfunction or, optionally, fuel level or rear door switch. An alarm can be programmed for out-of-range conditions such as high box temperature or extended defrost. The transmitter that mounts with the refrigeration unit is encapsulated in polyurethane to withstand engine vibration, extreme ambient temperatures, and high humidity. The TRMS-300 is distributed by Transport Refrigeration Inc, 3964 South Packerland Drive, De Pere WI 54115.
