    Dallas TX-based refrigerated carrier Frozen Food Express Industries Inc (FFEX) has announced its financial and operating results for the fourth quarter and 12-month period ended Dec 31, 2006.

    For the 2006 fourth quarter, freight revenue was $112.4 million, compared with $139.8 million in the same quarter of 2005. Net income for the 2006 quarter totaled $4.3 million, down from $6.4 million in fourth quarter 2005.

    Freight revenue for the full year 2006 was $483.7 million, versus $514.0 million for 2005. Income from freight operations for 2006 decreased to $11.6 million from $29.7 million for 2005. Net income for 2006 totaled $11.2 million, in contrast to $20.4 million during 2005.
