First Student Inc has selected J J Keller & Associates Inc's Driver Management Online service as the primary support tool for its enhanced student safety initiative.

With more than 19,000 school bus drivers operating in 33 states and 220 locations, First Student developed the initiative to ensure that each driver who works around children is fully qualified at any given time. It will use Driver Management Online to standardize, automate, and enhance driver qualification file management, employee training, drug and alcohol program administration, accident tracking, and driver recruiting and hiring functions.

Driver Management Online assists in controlling various driver and employee management functions. Users can create “virtual” electronic files and records, then manage the data in ways that boost efficiency and simplify processes. The service integrates with third-party providers for background check information and drug and alcohol test results to increase efficiency and standardization of processes.
