The CPX Group of companies has announced management changes. Jim Mickey has acquired all of the Cassidy's half-interest in the operating company shares. Affected corporations are Michawn Transportation Inc, Coastal Pacific Xpress Inc, Canadian Perishable Xpress Inc, and the US affiliate Coastal Perishable Xpress Inc of Lynden WA. The Cassidy's asset-holding company, Dart Refrigerated Trailers Ltd, also was included.

The Cassidys have resigned their positions and no longer will be associated with the group. Mickey has become president, and together with Glen Parsons, pre-existing 50% partner and vice-president — marketing, will manage the companies. Selected operations remain outside the deal and continue under Cassidy control, including the Pacific Highway Cold Storage facility and Scott & Sons Trucking.

CPX Group provides transportation services primarily to refrigerated, just-in-time, and high-value sectors. The company serves the North American market with a fleet of 150 highway tractors dispatched from its Cloverdale, British Columbia, base.
