Logistics software producer MicroAnalytics and wireless application service provider Dynamic Mobile Data (DMD) announce a partnership designed to provide a system for distribution operations.

MicroAnalytics' TruckStops routing system provides users with optimal routes based on miles, costs, time windows, and work rules. DMD's MobileDispatch and Automated Vehicle Location software allows enterprises to optimize mobile workforces through real-time, wireless communications and on-demand vehicle tracking.

When the companies' products are interfaced, companies can respond effectively to delivery schedule changes or other conditions by knowing where their vehicles are and what alternate routes are available. Marriage of the two products increases management control of fleets and drivers over the Internet.
