The Professional Truck Driver Institute (PTDI) has released a draft of its voluntary certification standards for company driver finishing programs, uniting the last segment of a truck driver's education with the previously developed PTDI skill, curriculum, and course standards for entry-level, second-seat drivers. The draft has been distributed to more than 800 industry stakeholders for comment (comments were due by Dec 30, 1999), and final revisions will be submitted to the PTDI board of directors for approval Jan 24, 2000.
