McLane Co Inc, the Temple TX-based wholesale foodservice distributor, has selected Jessup PA as the site of its newest regional distribution center. The company expects the facility, which will be called McLane PA, to be completed and operational in 2008.

Near Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, this new facility will service McLane's customer base in the upper Mid-Atlantic region. When completed, it will give McLane a total of 20 grocery division distribution centers in 18 states.

“The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania through the Governor's Action Team provided $525,000 to support this vital project that will bring 500 new jobs to northeast Pennsylvania,” said Pennsylvania Secretary for Community and Economic Development Dennis Yablonsky.
