HVAC/R technicians no longer have to waste time trying to match a fluorescent leak detection dye with specific refrigerants or lubricants in air-conditioning

HVAC/R technicians no longer have to waste time trying to match a fluorescent leak detection dye with specific refrigerants or lubricants in air-conditioning and refrigeration systems. Solvent-free AR-GLO/E universal fluorescent dye can be used with any refrigerant and with mineral oil, polyol ester, and alkyl benzene lubricants.

AR-GLO/E dye can be added to AC&R systems in several ways. The EZ-Ject multi-dose dye injector or single-dose Glo-Stick capsules are used for small- to medium-size AC&R systems. The BigEZ multi-dose dye injector is designed for medium to large AC&R systems. For large systems, such as supermarkets and refrigerated warehouses, the Mist Infuser pump injector is recommended.

Fluorescent leak detection is fast and foolproof. Add AR-GLO/E dye to the system and allow it to circulate with the refrigerant and oil. Wherever a leak is, the refrigerant and dye will escape. The refrigerant evaporates, but the dye remains at the site of every leak. When the system is scanned with a highintensity Spectroline ultraviolet or UV/blue light lamp, the dye glows brightly to pinpoint the precise location of all leaks. The dye remains safely in the system for future inspections.
