Cat Lift Trucks has awarded the Houston Food Bank a 5,000-lb-capacity hand pallet truck for its outstanding community service to the greater Houston TX area and surrounding counties and also delivered a food donation as part of the food bank's annual Spirit of Texas Food Drive.

As part of the Cat Lift Trucks sponsorship program for the 2005 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, local companies and non-profit organizations had a chance to win a Cat lift truck hand pallet truck by submitting essays on why they deserve and how they would use it.

Since opening in March 1982, the Houston Food Bank has distributed more than 290 million pounds of food and other essentials to area residents in need.
