A new product brochure from Brake Pro Ltd provides information on its new CMT-243 brake block, designed to supply twice the compressibility and a greater surface contact area.

This brochure has charts devoted to retardation ratio, a measure of brake effectiveness, and stopping distance from 50 mph. The CMT-243 is designed using a combination of materials to provide a layer of transfer film on both the surface of the brake block and drum, creating a more stable friction coefficient. This reduces the rate of lining wear and the noise common with brake linings operating in severe-service applications.

The CMT-243 is available in a range of sizes and configurations. To obtain a copy of the brochure or for more information, phone 800-567-1122, Technical Service at 888-3BRAKE3, or access www.brakepro.com.
