McLane opens grocery distribution center

McLane Distribution Inc has opened a 222,000-square-foot grocery distribution center in Carneys Point Township NJ and began shipping products recently.

McLane Distribution Inc has opened a 222,000-square-foot grocery distribution center in Carneys Point Township NJ and began shipping products recently. The Temple TX-based company operates more than 38 similar centers across the United States.

This site will distribute products to Wawa convenience stores in the area. McLane plans to employ more than 300 people at the center.

Construction at the center is almost finished, says Ron Hervi, human resources manager at the new facility. McLane has no immediate plans to expand the center.
