• TA helps refrigerated trailers keep their cool

    TravelCenters of America (TA) is expanding its services to include maintenance of refrigerated trailers at TA travel centers nationwide.

    TA is offering two levels of preventive maintenance (PM) services specifically for refrigerated units. The Premium Refrigerated PM package, which costs $89.95, includes an oil change along with a 30-point checklist. The Ultimate Refrigerated PM service, which costs $104.95, consists of the Premium Refrigerated PM service along with pre-trip diagnostics that include checking the vehicle for abnormal noise or vibration, checking indicator lights, inspecting the refrigerator unit for leaks or other necessary repairs, and running the microprocessor for any codes that appear.

    The new services will be offered at select TA Shop locations beginning June 15, 2004, and will be introduced at all TA Shop locations by the end of 2004. Services will be performed by TA technicians who have completed a certified training program in refrigerated trailer maintenance.
