FEMSA to distribute Coors Light in Mexico

Coors Brewing Co and Cerveceria Cuauhtemoc Moctezuma SA de CV (CCM) have reached an agreement that will make CCM the exclusive importer, distributor, marketer, and seller of Coors Light beer in Mexico.

Coors Brewing Co and Cerveceria Cuauhtemoc Moctezuma SA de CV (CCM), a subsidiary of FEMSA Cerveza SA de CV and an indirect subsidiary of Fomento Economico Mexicano SA de CV, have reached an agreement that will make CCM the exclusive importer, distributor, marketer, and seller of Coors Light beer in Mexico.

This renewable agreement is for an initial term of 10 years. For Coors, it provides access to a commercial and distribution network that could accelerate growth of its Coors Light brand in the Mexican market. For FEMSA Cerveza, the agreement provides an imported light beer that fits with its portfolio.

Coors Brewing Co is the third-largest United States brewer and the ninth-largest brewer in the world. Coors Light is the company’s largest brand, and is the seventh-largest beer brand in the world.
