ChevronTexaco Global Lubricants' Delo 400 multigrade oil passes all API CI-4 and Cummins CES 20078 performance requirements for engines using exhaust gas recirculation (EGR). EGR engines incorporate a diesel exhaust aftertreatment system designed to help meet the Environmental Protection Agency's 2002 objective of reducing diesel emissions by 50% over current levels.

The current Delo 400 multigrade formulation has been commercially available since 1998; it did not need reformulation to meet the latest round of specification upgrades.
