Transportation Consulting Group (TCG) has changed its name to Transportation Costing Group to better reflect its specialization. Ken Manning, president of TCG, said, "While we began TCG in 1982 as a general consultancy, by the end of the 1980s we had evolved principally into a consultant and developer of activity-based costing (ABC) systems for the transportation industry. By the end of the 1990s, we were almost exclusively a software developer of ABC and related systems."
TCG serves more than 50 LTL and truckload carriers in the United States, Canada, and Great Britain.
