The ninth edition, 2002 Canadian Motor Carrier Directory (CMCD), published by Transportation Technical Services (TTS), contains information on 2,616 firms.

TTS has also developed a new Internet program accessible at www.fleetseek.com. Users can access detailed Canadian trucker profiles, as well as 63,000 United States for-hire, private fleets as well as owner-operators.

Available in print copy or on CD-ROM (both with fleetseek component), CMCD demographic profiles include company name, headquarters address, phone (including toll-free), fax, standard carrier alpha code (SCAC), e-mail or web site address (when available), plus chief executive officer name and title.

Companies are also identified with common and contract hauling preference and by primary commodities transported. The number of trucks, tractors and trailers, both owned and leased, are shown. Trailer types, TL or LTL, plus the year the company was established complete the profile.

The print copy CMCD is available for $115 (US funds). CD-ROMs, which offer self-contained software plus a free print copy directory, are $295. Those wanting to subscribe can order online at www.ttstrucks.com, phone TTS at 888-ONLY-TTS, or e-mail [email protected].
