Truck-Lite Co Inc has been honored for two products introduced in 2001 to the commercial trucking industry. These products — LED marker/clearance Model 19 with clear lens and housing design and the Headlamp Life Extender — were chosen from hundreds of new products to receive a Nifty Fifty award from Heavy Duty Trucking magazine.
The new clear lens and housing Model 19 clearance/marker lamps have LEDs that emit colored light that is seen even though the optical lens is colorless. These new lamps are interchangeable with standard Model 19 lamps. The Headlamp Life Extender, jointly developed by IntraUSA and Truck-Lite, stabilizes and limits headlamp current and eliminates lamp-destroying voltage spikes.
