• Xata Turnpike runs on Intermec devices

    Xata Corporation announced that three additional Intermec devices are available for use with Xata Turnpike.

    “The addition of these new Intermec devices demonstrates our commitment to offering the most device-friendly fleet management solutions on the market,” said Charles Mohn, director, product management, Xata. “These Intermec devices make it easy for fleets and drivers to adhere to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) program, which is designed to reduce commercial motor vehicle accidents. They will also run one of a number of POD systems in tandem with Xata Turnpike.”

    The three devices, which feature the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system and a variety of productivity-enhancing tools, also make it easy for fleets to reduce costs and improve customer satisfaction. The devices are:

    •Intermec CS40—Ideal for harsh operating environments, it features a 3.2-megapixel camera, as well as a 3.75G wireless WAN radio for superior voice and data quality.

    •Intermec CN70—Lightweight and small, it features a brilliant display and advanced bar-code imaging technology, and is fully compatible with printers.

    •Intermec CN4—It features 3.5G wireless technology, which enables unprecedented visibility into drivers’ routes. It also offers enhanced mobile document imaging.
