Werner Enterprises Inc's board of directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.05 (5 cents) per common share payable to stockholders of record July 2, 2007. This dividend is a $.005 per share increase (or 11%) compared with the company's previous quarterly dividend rate of $.045 per share. The dividend will be paid July 17, 2007.
Founded in 1956, the Omaha NE-based transportation and logistics firm is currently in its 21st year of paying quarterly cash dividends on its common stock to its stockholders. The first quarterly cash dividend was paid by Werner in July 1987.
