AmeriCold has expanded its Albertville AL facility to accommodate the increased space demands of customers in the Southeast.

The $12 million, 93,420-square-foot expansion will add another 12,000 pallets of storage space and will more than double the size of the facility, creating 4.9 million cubic feet of total capacity.

Capital improvements on the Albertville facility will include construction of 2.9 million cubic feet of refrigerated space, installation of seven blast cells, material handling equipment, and storage racks and pallets. The expansion will handle 275 million pounds of product annually, including 110 million pounds of blast freezer throughput.
