Eaton Corp plans to realign its heavy-duty transmission division into two distinct business unitsÑone for performance and vocational transmission products, the other for automated and fleet transmission products.

ÒEach business unit will be responsible for its own products throughout their life cycle, from inception to design, manufacture, installation, and field use,Ó said George Nguyen, vice-president and general manager for the heavy-duty transmission division.

Dave Bennett has been named general manager of the performance and vocational transmission products business unit, responsible for Fuller 13, 15, and 18 speeds and LL deep-reduction transmissions.

Curt Hutchins has been named general manager for the automated and fleet transmission products business unit, responsible for Fuller 7, 9, and 10-speed RT, FR, and Lightning transmissions, as well as AutoShift and UltraShift automated transmissions.

Bennett is transferring from EatonÕs aerospace components division in Grand Rapids MI, where he has been the business unit manager for the past 18 months. Before joining Eaton, he served as global engineering director and electromechanical power systems director for Honeywell.

Hutchins comes to Eaton from WaterPik Technologies, where he was most recently vice-president of operations. He previously served as executive team leader and plant manager at Parker HannifinÕs Abex NWL Aerospace Division in Kalamazoo MI.
