Save Mart Supermarkets of Modesto CA has confirmed that the sale to acquire Albertson’s LLC Northern California Division is final. The sale includes 130 Albertson’s stores in Northern California and northern Nevada, the Roseville and Vacaville CA distribution centers, and the division office in Dublin CA.

This purchase will grow the Save Mart chain to 254 retail stores and will result in more than 23,000 workers. Save Mart will gradually convert all the Albertson’s stores in the next nine months. Until a store is converted to a Save Mart banner, it will continue to operate as an Albertson’s.

Decisions regarding the store banners and store conversion schedule are being reviewed and will be announced soon. All 13,000 Albertson’s Northern California associates now serve with the Save Mart organization.
