    Houston TX-based Sysco Corp has signed a letter of intent to acquire Bunn Capitol's foodservice assets. Terms of this transaction were not disclosed, and the deal depends on completion of due diligence and the Sysco board of directors' approval.

    Based in Springfield IL, Bunn Capitol was established in 1840 by Jacob Bunn as a wholesale grocer. The firm distributes more than 8,000 frozen, fresh, and packaged products to restaurants, healthcare operations, and clubs in Illinois.
