Detroit Diesel Corp (DDC) has announced its top-performing suppliers for 2000 as measured by its supply chain management program, Continuous Customer Value Improvement (CCVI). The company evaluates suppliers quarterly for quality, delivery, cost, and technical support.

Three suppliers were named 2000 CCVI Supplier of the Year:

  • Motorola's Automotive and Industrial Electronics Group's (AIEG) manufacturing facility in Seguin TX supplies electronic control modules for DDC's electronically controlled engines.

  • The Ferry Cap & Set Screw Co of Cleveland OH provides various specialized, engineered fasteners.

  • Vibratech, with facilities in Alden NY, is DDC's source for torsional vibration dampers.
