Trailmobile Canada Ltd has reduced its trailer production due to weak demand for new trailers.

Effective July 16th, 2001, Trailmobile has cut its daily production rate by about 25%. The action is in step with the approximate 65% decline in backlog levels from what was reported for the first fiscal quarter ended Dec 29, 2000.

The company expects weak demand for trailers to continue at least through the 2001 fiscal year.
