New Air Gauge Interfaces With Scale System Air-Weigh's new, entry-level electronic air gauge gives operators an accurate estimate of on-the-ground weight. The ComLink air gauge is also weight-ready to interface with the AW5600, Air-Weigh's in-cab scale system. ComLink can display air pressure to 1/10 of a psi.

As a component of the AW5600 on-board scale system, ComLink is ready for actual weight data, in-cab, display, printers, and download to on-board communications, net payload, and GVW via the FSKNet multiplexing network. This network enables Air-Weigh components to communicate over the truck's existing blue-wire circuit.

All Air-Weigh products using the FSKNet now are produced with automatic trailer ABS fault lamp circuits installed for FMVSS 121 compliance. ComLinks are available as either tractor or trailer modules. At no additional cost, ComLink also provides an auxiliary circuit from the cab to the trailer, so operators can switch a trailer lift axle, dome light, or dump valve without installing and maintaining a second disconnect harness between the tractor and trailers. For more information, contact Air-Weigh, 1730 Willow Creek Circle, Eugene OR 97402.

Captels System Weighs Moving Vehicles Captels has developed the LS WIM system, a portable weighbridge that accurately and automatically weighs individual axle weights, weights of axle groups, and overall weight of heavy vehicles while they are moving. It is designed for checking potential overloads in accordance with Department of Transportation and local highway regulations.

With the LS WIM, weighing is done without intervention of an operator. When compliance with regulations is being checked, the operator can concentrate on keying in information from vehicle documents and information on the route taken.

Actual vehicle and axle weight cannot be altered, and recording of results is forgery-proof. The system can be set up at almost any site. It is available in portable, semi-portable, and fixed versions. For more details, contact Captels, B P 34, 34270 Saint Mathieu de Treviers, France; or the French Technology Press Office, One E Wacker Dr, Suite 3740, Chicago IL 60601.

Grote Offers Beehive Clearance/Marker Lamps Grote Industries has introduced red and yellow 2" and 21.2" beehive clearance/marker LED lamps. These lamps replace the standard incandescent models, using the same female pin termination. They have spin-welded lenses and connect using the Grote UBS Double Seal Pigtail (part number 66850). Electronic components in these lamps are encapsulated in a potting compound for protection against moisture and vibration.

Solid terminals are drilled out for a strong fit and seal. They employ edge connector technology, which means no wires are needed for the circuit board. Because they use symmetrical optics, the lamps don't require orientation to provide optimal light diffusion for increased visibility.

For full details, contact Grote, 2600 Lanier Dr, Madison IN 47250.
