A network of dairy co-operatives and other agricultural-based companies will enjoy cost savings, enhanced purchasing programs, and expanded resources when two purchasing organizations are consolidated Jan 1, 2005.

Quality Chekd Dairies Inc will integrate its purchasing unit with that of SECO & Golden “100.” The combined entities will operate as QCS Purchasing LLC, formalizing a joint venture that began in 2001 to benefit the two organizations’ member companies.

QCS Purchasing LLC will expand its member services, which currently include reduced-cost packaging, commodities, ingredients, chemicals, and other valuable offerings crucial to dairy and agricultural businesses.

Both companies will carry on their operations outside of this new purchasing organization. SECO will continue to operate Golden “100,” a manufacturer and processor of fruit drink concentrates. Quality Chekd will provide its dairy processing members with training, education, marketing tools and trends, quality assurance measures and evaluations, laboratory resources, and the Quality Chekd trademark logo.

QCS Purchasing LLC will by governed with equal representation on the LLC board consisting of executives from each organization. It will be headquartered in DeLand FL.
