With its theme “A Golden Opportunity,” the 2005 National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Convention lets frozen and refrigerated food industry executives conduct face-to-face business meetings with multiple customers. The National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA), sponsor of the convention, will hold this year's event October 8-12, at the Hilton San Francisco (CA).

The convention will kick off with the Taste of Excellence Reception, where frozen and refrigerated food companies can showcase their latest products.

This year's schedule features Monday morning breakfast speaker Robert Novak, journalist and political commentator, followed by a general session presented by Willard Bishop Consulting that will focus on the “State of Grocery Retailing Today” and the “Importance of Cold Space.” Sports personality Dick Vitale will be Tuesday's breakfast speaker followed by a general session with RQA Inc. on “Crisis Management and Product Recall in the Retail and Foodservice Industries.” In addition, School Foodservice Roundtables will be held where delegates can meet with school foodservice insiders to discuss relevant topics.

Closing the convention, an awards reception and banquet will honor Golden Penguin Award winners for March National Frozen Food Month, June Dairy Month, and the June/July Summer Favorites Ice Cream & Novelties promotion. Special entertainment for this event will be provided by The Don Watson Band.
