Oakland CA-based Crowley Maritime Corp has added 457 new 40-foot, high-cube refrigerated containers and 380 power packs at its Jacksonville FL and Savannah GA operations. These reefers will be deployed for use in the firm's Latin America, Caribbean, and Puerto Rico services.

Maersk Container Industri AS produced these stainless steel units in China, and Crowley took delivery of them earlier in June.

A total of 228 of these containers are equipped with Thermo King refrigeration units, and 229 have Carrier Corp refrigeration units.
