Prime Inc, based in Springfield MO, has agreed to purchase Oklahoma City OK-based Rocor International out of bankruptcy. Financial terms have not been disclosed in the sale, which includes 850 tractors, 1,100 trailers, and the business relationships of Rocor. Prime says the acquisition will enhance the company's capability in the refrigerated truckload market.
The additional trucks plus the staff and drivers need to support them will be good news for Prime customers, the company says. Equipment and staff will operate as the RTC division of Prime from the existing Rocor terminal in Oklahoma City. Prime has leased the terminal. The Rocor equipment will be added to the Prime fleet of 2,500 tractors operated by independent contractors.
