Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC's PuraGuard DL is an air-filtering device that captures up to 70% of oil and carbon from a heavy vehicle's air system before it reaches the air dryer.

Installed between the air compressor and air dryer, the compact PuraGuard DL traps carbon particles, liquid oil, and aerosols using a microglass fiber filter. Aerosols are combined into larger droplets that are captured in the dryer's filter, extending the cartridge life by up to three times. PuraGuard DL protects all critical air system components downstream of the compressor while helping reduce air brake system maintenance and increase potential vehicle uptime. Maintenance is simple, with an oil filter change only once per year for most applications.

Fleet-tested, PuraGuard DL has a spin-on filter cartridge and a built-in safety relief valve that sounds an audible signal in case the cartridge ever becomes clogged. For full details, contact Bendix, 901 Cleveland St, Elyria OH 44035.
