• Merger of firms creates FoodLink Online

    Agribuys, provider of supply chain management software and services to the global perishable foods industry, and Foodconnex Worldwide, provider of technology to companies in the perishables and food retail markets, have merged to form FoodLink Online.

    Agribuys, provider of supply chain management software and services to the global perishable foods industry, and Foodconnex Worldwide, provider of technology to companies in the perishables and food retail markets, have merged to form FoodLink Online.

    The new company provides buyers with products and services to help them source product and manage the entire supply chain. FoodLink Online offers suppliers better visibility to buyers, product catalog management services, and the ability to execute transactions more efficiently. This system is accessed through a browser. The company also provides integration services for transfer of data to legacy systems through standardized interfaces.

    FoodLink Online will be headquartered in Torrance CA and will have offices in Northern California. As part of the merger, Vijay Yajnik, chief executive officer of Agribuys, will become CEO of FoodLink Online. Brian Hansen, CEO of Foodconnex, will become chief financial officer of FoodLink Online; Kent Rhodes, founder of Foodconnex, will become senior industry advisor to FoodLink Online.
