KAT Inc, R&M Enterprises, and Carolina Pacific will soon consolidate to become Priority Refrigerated Services. This new entity's offices will be based at existing offices in Chesterton IN and Gretna NE, and the company will continue to provide the same service.

Conversion to Priority Refrigerated Services is expected to be finished by the end of 2003, and transitioning to the new fleet name will occur in the next several months.

A temperature-sensitive freight transporter, KAT operates in a 14- to 18-state area out of the Chesterton terminal with coast-to-coast and occasional Northeast runs out of its Greensboro NC terminal. KAT consists of a company-owned fleet with 140 conventional trucks, as well as owner-operators.
