Excel Corp, a Wichita KS-based beef and pork distributor, is voluntarily recalling about 54,000 pounds of Garlic and Herb Flavored Fresh Pork because of an undeclared allergen (non-fat dried milk).

No illnesses have been associated with the product, and the recall only applies to Garlic and Herb Flavored Fresh Pork. Consumers who purchased the product should return it to the place of purchase.

Products include Garlic and Herb Flavored Tender Choice pork tenderloin, Tender Choice pork ham roast, Tender Choice pork loin chops, Tender Choice pork loin filets, Sterling Silver pork loin filets, and Sterling Silver pork loin chops. Only Garlic and Herb Flavored Pork products are affected.

All of the products bear the establishment number “EST. 85M” inside the United States Department of Agriculture mark of inspection. Products were packaged between Sept 11, 2003, and May 28, 2004. The packages carry “use by or freeze by” dates on or before June 25, 2004.

The Tender Choice products were distributed in Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin, and Nebraska. The Sterling Silver product was distributed only in Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, California, Indiana, and Ohio.
