The University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business's Executive Education unit will conduct the "Transportation Claims Management and Prevention" seminar

The University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business's Executive Education unit will conduct the "Transportation Claims Management and Prevention" seminar Dec 6-7, 2000, at Grainger Hall on the university's Madison WI campus. This seminar is also offered May 9-10, 2001.

Participants can learn how to manage risks of cargo OS&D (overs, shorts, and damaged), recognize carrier liability coverages and limits, prevent or reduce claims that cost money, and settle claims efficiently. Credit can be earned toward certification by The Certified Claims Professional Accreditation Council Inc.

This program is beneficial for industrial transportation and traffic, carrier and LSP claims managers, supervisors and clerks, plant shipping/receiving supervisors and managers, and related transportation support staff.

Program director and discussion leader Dr Edward J Marien is director of transportation, logistics, and supply chain management programs for the Executive Education unit.
