Mack Trucks Inc recently named Salinas y Fabres SA (SALFA) of Santiago, Chile, as the 2006 Mack International Distributor of the Year.

SALFA has been a Mack distributor since 1938. The company has 11 locations throughout Chile. The year 2006 was the seventh time SALFA has been named Mack International Distributor of the Year.

Roberto Salinas, son of co-founder Ramon Salinas, is chairman and chief executive officer of SALFA. The company has made significant investments in the past several years in new and upgraded facilities, and has more than 800 employees.

Each year, Mack honors its high-performing distributors. Categories in the selection criteria include sales, facilities, personnel, leasing, service, parts, general management, customer satisfaction, and community service.
