The founder of Lowell AR-based J B Hunt Transport Services, J B Hunt, is teaming up with two other men to construct a $27 million cold storage plant in Rogers AR. Hunt is partnering with Tim Graham and Don Coenen, who is president of Don’s Cold Storage and Transportation.

This cold storage facility will have 250,000 square feet of 0° freezer space and eight blast freezers. Construction should begin in March with an opening expected in September 2006.

The plant will offer rail and truck transportation to the 48 contiguous United States, according to Coenen. He expects to hire 35 workers and maintain a fleet of 30 refrigerated semitrailers. Chilled and frozen products will be transported from the Rogers facility to distribution centers and stores, he said.
