The Latin America Logistics Center is organizing the Logistics Congress of the Americas to bring together, for the first time, the leading logistics and supply chain executives from Latin America and the Caribbean. The congress will be held April 25-27, 2001, in Panama City, Panama, and 800 executives from more than 25 nations are expected to attend. It will provide a 360-degree view of the most pressing issues facing logistics.

The Latin America Logistics Center, a private research institution focused on Latin American logistics, has designed a learning environment that will enable participants to compare their corporate performance with that of other participants (Online Benchmarking Terminals). They will also be able to test-drive a variety of logistics solutions (Laboratorio de Soluciones Logisticas). The congress will focus on market globalization, virtualization of the economy, and collaboration between trading partners. Each of these issues will be considered from three different perspectives: that of the academic, the practitioner, and the solution provider.
