A new initiative to develop electronic business standards for the foodservice industry is being launched by Efficient Foodservice Response (EFR) and the Uniform Code Council (UCC). The goal is to develop standards that can be adopted by operators, distributors, manufacturers, agents, and third-party solution providers to streamline business transactions.

Through this partnership, e-commerce standards developed for foodservice will be in complete alignment with other complementary industries as well as other regions of the world. Companies will be able to conduct business electronically in one seamless format globally. The UCC will bring its expertise in developing global standards and EFR will contribute foodservice business process knowledge.

To learn more about the partnership, phone Mark Allen at 703-532-9400, ext 228; or e-mail him at [email protected].
