    Containing 8,849 carriers, the new TTS Carrier Routing Directory (CRD) is available to shippers, logistics companies, third-party providers, private fleets, and trucking companies looking to partner.

    More than 6,612 trucking companies offering common and dedicated contract services, plus 2,237 trucking firms hauling exclusively under contract are available in the current edition.The CRD comes on CD-ROM and offers self-contained software plus an Adobe e-book.

    The CRD profile includes trucking company name, key contacts, address, toll-free and fax number, plus common and/or contract haul preference. Commodities transported, TL/LTL, number of trucks, tractors and trailers, and types of trailers including chassis/container are shown. Carrier web sites are listed.

    More than 1,800 fleets offer shipment tracking capabilities. Carriers actively serving 48 states, specific states, or provinces are so noted. Some 5,180 truckers serve the entire United States, 1,150 for Canada, plus 293 offer service to Mexico.

    The CRD reflects 5,180 trucking companies operating van trailers, 2,663 flatbeds, 1,625 refrigerated, 965 tank, 1,193 open tops, and 353 chassis. Indexes identify firms by states served and equipment operated.
