Kelle's Transport Service Inc has completed its $2.1 million purchase of most of the trucking assets of Intermountain Express LLC. The Clearfield UT-based Intermountain Express has between $3.1 million and $3.5 million in annual sales plus 13 company-employed drivers.

“Intermountain Express has a long history in the refrigerated market and also operates dry vans and a brokerage divisions for the past 10 years, so we are familiar with their leadership and operations,” said Kelle Simon, chief executive of Salt Lake City UT-based Kelle's Transport Service.

The deal included purchase of 13 tractors and 21 trailers.

Clay Andreasen, Intermountain Express operation manager and co-owner, and his team of drivers will continue to manage the business they operated, said Simon.
