Cadec Corp has released its Mobius TTS onboard computer, consisting of an Intel StrongArm processor using 32-bit RISC technology running Windows CE. It also includes 12-channel GPS, audio input/output, memory expandable to 320 MB, 18 input/-outputs, and four serial I/O ports.
Mobius TTS combines vehicle monitoring, automated DOT logs, and fuel tax reporting with the capabilities of a desktop computer. Open architecture allows for an array of options. Reports can be generated using standard industry software or customizable templates. Handheld devices for out-of-cab functionality such as bar-code scanning and signature capture can be added. Mobius TTS has multiple communications options that include satellite, terrestrial, short-range RF, or a combination of modes.
