Sao Paulo, Brazil-based Perdigao has unveiled its new Curi-tiba Distribution Center, built by CRM Logistica, a pool of investors from the state of Parana, Brazil.

Fribalog, also based in Parana, will be responsible for operating the new center, the first module of which comes on stream immediately with 5,000 pallet bins and a capacity to handle 10,000 tons/month of chilled and frozen products. The new center will reduce time for loading, unloading, separation of orders, and delivery.

This center will consolidate the operations of two other distribution centers operating in Parana — one in Curitiba dedicated exclusively to Perdigao-branded products, and the other in Sao Jose dos Pinhais, which handles the Batavo line. The facility will operate a fleet of 70 vehicles responsible for 30,000 deliveries per month.
