Ryder Systems Inc has selected Infor Global Solutions' SupplyWEB as a supply chain execution tool to be integrated with its transportation management system to enhance capabilities with its Ryder Logistics Release (RLR) system.

An automated process, the RLR system enhances transportation management capabilities in shipment planning and execution. The goal is to combine shared logistics networks for suppliers and logistics network managers to optimize shipments configurations, as well as the movement of shipments using a single set of logistics rules.

RLR will use SupplyWEB to present one face to automotive suppliers, combining the information from multiple versions of separate ERP systems into a single, universal view for suppliers and internal users. SupplyWEB includes traditional EDI communication and web-based methods, with a mix of capabilities. With SupplyWEB, companies can achieve 100% electronic communications with all suppliers, even if some of them do not have EDI capability.
