Thermo King Corp, in conjunction with PEB Commodities, Inc has published a free guidebook that includes the entire spectrum of perishable commodities moved in international trade.

This guidebook is intended to assist in the operation of refrigerated containers equipped with Advanced Fresh Air Management (AFAM) and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD). It contains various oxygen, carbon dioxide, humidity, and temperature guidelines that should be mechanically maintained in refrigerated containers to nurture the freshness of fruits and vegetables during land and ocean voyages.

Fifty commodities receive special attention in this guidebook, with descriptions outlining the proper settings for O2 and CO2 levels in order to take full advantage of the AFAM+ system. The book also offers commodity-specific handling guidelines for humidity and temperature. Copies of the guidebook can be downloaded from Thermo King's web site at www.thermoking.com.
