In 1971, Magline Inc produced the first Gemini, a hand truck that could be converted into a platform truck. Three decades later, the company decided to improve the Gemini by consulting the experts: route delivery professionals. Focusing on durability and productivity, engineers built in features to increase capacity, load stability, and product life.
Drivers will enjoy a 25% boost in capacity. The new Gemini XL holds 1,250 pounds in the platform position.
The Gemini XL deck is 45% larger than a Gemini Senior yet fits into narrow aisles and remains maneuverable. The wider, solid deck holds 12- and 20-ounce beverage packages and smaller items securely; product won't fall through an open frame. The deck has a non-skid finish to help hold packages in place during transport.
Gemini XL also has an optional folding containment arm that, when placed upright in the platform position, provides more secure product transportation.
Heavy-duty 6" × 2" casters provide a smoother ride over thresholds and rough surfaces.
The new wheel hub design allows users to change a tire without tools. A simple pull of the cotter pin releases the wheel. After placing on a new wheel, the cotter pin is reinserted to hold the wheel in place. Drivers will be able to replace tires in as fast as 15 seconds.
A new extruded handle system is strong and sturdy for improved steering control. The redesigned, heavy-duty latch makes converting from the two-wheel to four-wheel position a snap. The latch is engineered to hold securely in the upright position, yet open quickly with the touch of a finger.
