Social events include the NITL annual luncheon, IANA's 10th anniversary awards luncheon, and two evening receptions sponsored individually by IANA and TIA.

Program and TransComp 2000 highlights include an opening session featuring a presentation by Afterburners; a luncheon keynote speech by Samuel K Skinner, president and chief executive officer of US Freightways, former chief of staff to President Bush, and former Secretary of Transportation; presentation of the McCullough Logistics Executive of the Year Award; a container ship exhibition; presentation of IANA's Silver Kingpin Award; and TIA's National Learning Conference.
