QTRACS/Web, a new Web-based interface to OmniTRACS and OmniExpress mobile communications systems, is provided by Qualcomm Inc.

This interface helps trucking companies manage two-way data communication with fleets. This secure product allows companies to access their fleet data through a Web browser and view current and historical vehicle locations, and display them on a scalable, street-level map.

QTRACS/Web is available in two versions: customer-hosted and Qualcomm-hosted. Customer-hosted is for companies that prefer to host and maintain their own Web server, and who have multiple offices connected via a network. This version provides security, maintenance, and integration at the central office, and user functions such as access to operational data from remote offices. Qualcomm-hosted is for users who prefer access to fleet data via the Internet. For this version, Qualcomm hosts and maintains all servers, software, and customer data.
