    Paccar Leasing Co (PacLease) is offering PacTrac, a telematics system that reduces operating costs, improves productivity, and enhances service in private fleet logistics.

    PacTrac uses GPS technology, a network of more than 100 wireless carriers, and an Internet connection to deliver real-time data from customers' vehicles. Modular hardware includes the PacTrac onboard computer, keyboard, and handset, and benefits delivered include:

    • Real-time GPS vehicle position reports help maximize supply chain efficiency.

    • Management reports monitor driver and vehicle efficiency using performance metrics.

    • Paperless data collection cuts administrative time by automating driver hours of service logs and automatically populating tax, payroll, and compliance reports.

    • Data and voice communication provides a direct link among drivers, dispatchers, and customers.

    • Exception-based arrival and departure reporting tightens security and provides automated notification when trucks move within allowable geographic boundaries.
